For over 15 years, Sonja Rauschütz has served as an advisor, coach, mediator and trainer to a wide range of clients in German-speaking countries, Central- and Southeastern Europe, the US and the Middle East. As most of her work takes place in organisationally or emotionally challenging situations, she integrates - a boundary spanner - her Central European upbringing with her academic training at Harvard and in Europe.
From 1999 - 2002, she was the Associate to the Director of the Harvard Negotiation Project, Prof. Roger Fisher (Co-Author of "Getting to Yes" and "Beyond Reason") and has been teaching in the Program of Instruction for Lawyers (PIL), Harvard Law School while providing coaching services to the Senior Executive Fellows Program (SEF) at Kennedy School of Government. Besides other teaching engagements with the Free University of Berlin, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek or the Vienna Business University, Sonja Rauschütz also belongs to the faculty of the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna.
In fall 2000, Mrs. Rauschütz initiated with her colleague Moty Cristal the Israeli Palestinian Negotiating Partners (IPNP) and has been managing the expanding program for professional negotiators since then. Upon her return to Europe in 2002, she also found the NON-Profit organization Vienna CONFLICT MANAGEMENT Partners, a host for IPNP and other initiatives in the Middle East and Central and Southeastern Europe. In 2005 Sonja Rauschütz founded the Vienna Negotiation Institute.
Sonja Rauschütz graduated from the Harvard´s Kennedy School of Government with a Master in Public Administration. She conducted her Master Studies of Politics and International Economics at the Business University in Vienna and is a certified Therapeutic Counsellor, specialized in work-life balance for international executives.
Her research focuses on Selfmanagement of business executives and political negotiators in international negotiations and long-lasting conflicts

Beatrix Schmelzle, designated Director of Program Development, is currently serving as advisor for strategic development at Vienna CM Partners.
She has worked with numerous NGOs in the field of conflict-management in research, facilitation and organizational development capacities,
She is co-editor and coordinator of the Berghof Handbook for Conflict Transformation.
She is a graduate of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where she focused on negotiation and mediation, social psychology, organizational development and non-profit management.
She also holds a masters degree in Political Science/International Relations from the Free University of Berlin in Germany.
Her current research interest lies in the creation of learning organisations and reflective practitioners in the field of conflict resolution, her long-term interest concerns issues of reconciliation.
In 1994 Christine graduated from the two-year Executive Training Program for Advertisement and Sales lead by Prof. Schweiger at the University for Business and Economics in Vienna. In parallel, she worked at the Finance Department of the Austrian Student Union at the University responsible for accounting and budget management. Between 1993 - 1995 Christine joined the Institute for External Relations at the University and next to public relations her focus was with the establishment of the University´s Alumni Club, including a feasibility study. Today the WU Alumni Club at the University for Business and Economics is the largest in the German speaking countries and celebrated its 10-year anniversary in 2005.
As of 1995 Christine Krimmel worked for Die Erste Bank of Austria, responsible for client relations management regarding students and business clients. In 1997 she was asked to join a change management team of the organization as a specialist for Strategic Marketing.
In the first half of 1999 Christine gave birth to her daughter Clara and by the end of 2000 her son Moritz was born.
In 2001 Christine founded one of the first commissioned Austrian agencies called AuPair Austria, which has become Austrian´s market leader within a short period of time.
In 2002 Christine Krimmel returned to offering her services as a management consultant, specialized in service oriented businesses. Strategic Marketing and Communication is now once more the focus of her professional attention.
Anthony Wanis-St. John is a long-term alliance partner of Vienna Partners as well as the President and Managing Partner of RoundTable International LLC. RoundTable helps clients develop premier negotiation competencies so that they can nurture and expand their customer base, optimize their organizational performance, and manage critical business, governmental and community relationships throughout the world. He is a Research Associate at the Center on International Conflict Resolution at Columbia University. He earned his Ph.D. (2001) and M.A. (1996) from the Fletcher School, Tufts University and was awarded a Doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Law School’s Program on Negotiation (1999-2000).
His book manuscript Back Channels: Two Edged Sword of Peacemaking is under review by Lynne Rienner. Additional published work includes “Cultural Pathways in Conflict Resolution,”in Moffitt and Bordone, eds., Handbook of Dispute Resolution (Jossey-Bass, 2005); “Implementing ADR in Transitioning States,” Harvard Negotiation Law Review, Vol. 5 (2000); “The National Security Council: Tool of Presidential Crisis Management,” Journal of Public and International Affairs, vol. 9, no. 1 (1998); “Third Party Mediation Between India and Pakistan,” International Peacekeeping, vol. 4, no. 4 (1997).
Dr. Wanis-St. John teaches graduate and executive courses at American University, Drexel University, University of Massachusetts, Tufts University, Clark University Bordeaux Ecole de Management and Notre Dame University (Beirut). He also created the international negotiation specialization for the masters program at the Whitehead School of Diplomacy, Seton Hall University. He also taught extensively in the executive education programs at Harvard Law School. He lectures widely on the Palestinian-Israeli Peace Process.
He facilitates organizational alliances and mediates internal corporate and labor-management disputes. He has trained managers in organizations such as American Express - BDP International - Blue Cross - BMC Software de Mexico - Bristol-Myers Squibb – Bombardier - Cap Gemini - Ernst & Young – CapitalOne - CNN Newsource Sales – Counterpane - Eli Lilly - HP Consulting - Hewlett Packard Financial Services - The MathWorks - Miller Heiman - Pepperl+Fuchs – PricewaterhouseCoopers - Strategic Account Management Association – Unisphere - Visa International.
In the international sector, he consults with the World Bank on judicial modernization projects in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, and Venezuela, and has worked with negotiators in the Middle East peace process.
He speaks fluent Spanish and French as well as basic Arabic. He was born in 1965 in Egypt of Palestinian and Lebanese origins.
Keith Fitzgerald is the Managing Director and Director of the Negotiation, Conflict Management, & Crisis Leadership Team of Sea-Change Partners. Keith is also an Adjunct Fellow at Singapore’s Institute of Defence & Strategic Studies (IDSS), where he is helping to establish the Southeast Asia Program on Negotiation & Conflict Management. He served as a Visiting Lecturer at the National University of Singapore’s Public Policy Program (from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University) from 1999-2000. Keith was the Special Assistant to the Director and an Associate at the Harvard Negotiation Project at Harvard Law School from 1994 to 1999. Since 1994 he has been a Teaching Fellow in Negotiation at Harvard Law School and in 1999 was a Teaching Fellow in International Mediation & Conflict Resolution at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
He worked with the non-profit Conflict Management Group, and Conflict Management, Inc., both professional outgrowths of the Harvard Negotiation Project, from 1991 - 1999. Keith has worked as a security policy analyst in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and as a counter-terrorism analyst in Washington, DC. He was a member of the International Human Rights Mission to the Former Yugoslavia and worked as a journalist with World Monitor and Monitor News in Boston. He wrote and co-produced the documentary, The Face of Human Security for the United Nations in 1994. He has served as an advisor to Education for Public Inquiry and International Citizenship (EPIIC) at Tufts University since 1988. He is a Founding Member of the Council for Emerging National Security Affairs (CENSA) based in Washington, DC, and is Southeast Asia Regional Director for CENSA. He is also an associate member of the Singapore Institute for International Affairs.
Keith specializes in training executives and public sector officials in effective negotiation, crisis management, problem-solving, communication, joint decision-making, and teamwork skills. He has delivered training courses for several multi-national corporations (including Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Intel, AT&T, Alcatel, Diethelm Keller, Merck, Merril Lynch, Bombardier, and Cisco). In the public sector, he has trained several Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministries of National Planning, and Ministries of Trade around the world. He has been a trainer and consultant to the United Nations, the World Bank, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the World Health Organization (WHO), and many international foundations and NGOs. He has been involved in negotiations and conflict management efforts in over 50 countries and territories, including Northern Ireland, the Middle East, the Balkans, Korea, Canada and the United States, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, India and Pakistan, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, East Timor, the Philippines, Sudan, South Africa, and throughout the Former Soviet Union. He has advised on several crisis and hostage negotiations in Latin America, the Former Soviet Union, and Southeast Asia.
Keith has a B.A. from Tufts University, was a MacJannett Scholar in Geneva, Switzerland, has studied and taught negotiation at Harvard Law School, and holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. He is a former United States and North American martial arts champion and has been a martial arts instructor for over twenty years.
Born in Israel in 1967, graduated Law School in 1994 at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, and has a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University Kennedy School of Government.
Between 1994-2001 served in various official capacities in the Israeli negotiation teams with Jordan and the Palestinians, within the Ministry of Defense and Prime Minister’s office, and since 1998 he is a leading team member in the IDF Crisis Negotiation Unit (Maj.).
Between 2001-2003 served as the Company’s Secretary of the Israel National Lottery (Mifal Hapais) and the Director General of the Lottery funds, exercising his negotiation and legal skills in the private sector.
Since 2001, teaches and trains negotiation and crisis management to senior managers in the private and public sectors, as well as consults in strategic and complex negotiation, negotiation support and crisis management in Israel, Europe, US, and Asia. He teaches international negotiation at the Diplomacy Studies Department at Tel Aviv University, and crisis negotiation at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzelia.
In 2003 founded Nest Consulting which offers comprehensive negotiation services to public sector and private clients in Israel and abroad, among them the Singapore International Fund, The King’s Fund (UK), the planning division of the IDF, The UJIA, UK, The health branch of Ireland Trade Union, TEMASEK Holdings Singapore (in cooperation with Sea-Change Partners), an Israeli-Jordanian legal training and more.
In cooperation with his colleague Sonja Rauschütz and Prof. Roger Fisher, the co-author of “Getting to Yes” and the head of Harvard Negotiation Project, he established Israeli Palestinian Negotiating Partners (IPNP) and he is a research fellow in several academic institutions.
Moty Cristal writes his PhD on Negotiation Systems at the Department of International Relations, London School of Economics, UK and commentates regularly in the Israeli media (TV, Radio and newspapers), international conferences and academic publications on negotiation processes and crisis interventions, and he is a qualified mediator.
Simone Leonhartsberger joined Vienna CM Partners as volunteer in September 2003, where she is currently working as program coordinator.
Simone studied Political Science, Political Economy, Contemporary History and International Development at the University of Vienna and at the University of Angers (France) and graduated with a Master in December 2003 (Master thesis: Conflict Prevention and International Cooperation in Macedonia). Her special interests have been International Relations and Development, Conflict Management, Policies of the European Union.
During her studies she has been working as a permanent freelance journalist for the economy/jobs and career department in the Austrian daily newspaper KURIER.
Ilana Much joined the Vienna Partners in September 2003. Since then she has been responsible for Funding and Data Pooling - furthermore being involved in different projects as a Assistant and Program Coordinator.
Ilana is currently studying Political Science at the University of Vienna, planned to graduate in fall 2006 and emphasizes on Israeli Palestinian Dialogue Processes. Mrs. Much spend one year (2002/2003) in Tampere, Finland as an exchange student and gained great experience in collaborating in with people from all over the world.
Born and grown up in a multicultural family (father born in Tel Aviv and mother originally from Finland) Ilana considers tolerance and acceptance of different cultures, backgrounds as well as origins fundamentally important.
